Temporary Residence Applications

Apply for or extend a study permit or student work permit. If you live in China, India, Morocco, Pakistan, the Philippines, Senegal or Vietnam, you may be able to get your study permit faster

Check how much and where (on campus, off campus, co-op, and post-graduation) you an work while studying and apply for a post-graduation work permit to stay in Canada after you graduate or get a visitor visa to return to Canada. 

Apply to work in Canada as a temporary worker, business person and student. Extend an existing work permit or change the conditions on your work permit. Check your eligibility for the International Experience Canada Program, become a candidate and take necessary steps after you’re in the pool.

Refugees and asylum

Claim refugee protection from inside Canada if you fear persecution or if you are in danger if you return to your home country. Find services for refugees in Canada; access health care, get help to adjust to Canada, obtain financial help and learn about your refugee rights. Appeal a refugee claim.

Permanent Residence Applications

Immigrate as a skilled worker, as a provincial nominee, by starting a business & creating jobs, or as a self-employed worker in cultural or athletic activities. 

If you are graduating from a school or working in New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island, Nova Scotia, or Newfoundland and Labrador, you may apply for permanent residence through the Atlantic immigration pilot.

Citizenship Applications and Beyond

Apply for citizenship, get proof of citizenship, and get a passport. Canadian youth who want to travel and work in another country can apply through the International Experience Canada Program.
